Jessica Woods is a Licensed Professional Counselor, doctoral candidate, author, and educator whose career spans counseling, higher education, and curriculum design.
Jessica began her professional journey in education, earning a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and serving as Elementary Educator and eventually an Adjunct Education Professor. She brings over a decade of experience in teaching, instructional coaching, curriculum design, and leadership training.
Today, she is the founder of Woods Therapy LLC, a private practice offering trauma-informed counseling, consultation, and training. She is also the co-author of Be Safe, and Kind, and Brave, a children’s book that supports social-emotional development through themes of courage, kindness, and safety.
Her scholarly interests include complex trauma recovery, women’s mental health issues, nuerodivergence, and culturally responsive counselor education.
